One week after the YP Summit DunnLoring-Merrifield Young and Young at Heart Rotarians gather at BlackFinn Pub for an hour of socializing and networking!

The Rotary Youth Professionals Summit 2016, Pt. 3

 

After discussing by table, Rotary members proposed and discussed new ideas on how to attract and new members and expand the club. Final plans were made which encourages people of all ages to join Rotary club, especially the next generation.

The Rotary Youth Professionals Summit 2016, Pt. 2



Afterwards, Rotary members discussed important traits of what led them to join Rotary Club. Categories included Meetings, Rewards, People, Leadership, Projects and Communication. The Rotarians worked by tables and shared their stories of how they met Rotary to collect ideas of what made their experience with Rotary enjoyable and unique.

On Saturday, May 21, the District 7610 YP Summit event began with the Rotarian Panel.
Five outstanding Rotary members shared their greatest Rotary moments and how they became a part of the Rotary club. Each spoke for about five minutes and was a great way to start the event!

After months of planning the District 7610 YP Summit Steering Committee is ready! "Carol Metzker is a writer, frequent speaker and consultant. Carol is author of Facing the Monster: How One Person Can Fight Child Slavery and coauthor of Appreciative Intelligence: Seeing the Mighty Oak in the Acorn. She was a recent TEDx speaker on the subject of human trafficking and consults to TSA’s New Day to Stop Trafficking program. She earned a Master’s degree at George Mason University and received Rotary International’s highest honor, a 2009-10 Service Above Self Award."
